King's Way Gym

After the Central Region Minister's lunch last Thursday, Pastor Jack Aiken, Pastor of King's Way Ministry Center in Eagle River, gave several of us a tour of their ongoing building project.  They are building a very nice gym to be used by the school, church, and community.  They are projected to be done soon.  This will be an excellent ministry tool.

Nick played all of the instruments on this recording.

Alaska Correctional Ministries

On March 23, Alaska Correctional Ministries held a fundraising banquet to raise money.  There were approximately 800 people in attendance, including Superintendent Bill Welch and several other representatives from the Alaska Ministry Network.  ACM is led by Michael Ensch, an ordained minister with the Alaska Ministry Network.  Several AG chaplains serve with ACM, and we are pleased to partner with Alaska Correctional Ministries.

This ministry is doing an incredible job at ministering to ex-offenders and bringing the hope of Jesus Christ.  Carmen Gutierrez, Deputy Commissioner for the Alaska Department of Corrections, addressed the Alaska Correctional Ministries celebration, and a letter was presented from Gov. Parnell.  This is a ministry that is worthy of your prayer and financial support.  I would encourage you to watch the video above.

About 30 ex-offenders presented cardboard testimonies, which were very moving.

North Pole Easter

North Pole Assembly of God participated in a combined Easter service this year at North Pole High School.  The churches involved were First Baptist Church of North Pole, North Pole Worship Center, and North Pole AG.  There were about 1,800 people in attendance, including 1,600 adults and 200 kids.   Pastor Kory of North Pole AG led the children's ministry.  20 kids got saved, and several adults as well.  The three pastors each preached, tag team style.  A combined 30 person choir accompanied the worship team.  This was the largest Christian gathering ever in North Pole.

It was a time of unity and churches coming together to demonstrate John 17 and celebrate the risen savior.  Superintendent Bill and Dori Welch were in attendance, and Pastor Bill said that the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was charged with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

We have heard many exciting testimonies of what God did in Alaska Ministry Network churches around the state.  Many salvations, dedications, and people being touched by the presence of God.  North Pole is one example of this.  We are excited about what God is doing in all our churches.  Pastors, if you have a testimony you would like to share, email me at bradkesler@alaskaag.org, and I will put it on the blog.  It is encouraging to hear what God is doing.

Pastoral Installation

Pastor Bill and Dori Welch were in Fairbanks this past Sunday to install Pastor Jeremy and Charee Davis as Pastors of Jubilee Worship Center.  It was a great service, and we are very excited about what the Lord is doing there.
